Letting go just a little bit:)

Letting go just a bit hurts. I let my son grow up just a bit and man I miss him.
I had him at the young young age of 14. YES thats not a typo. Most people see us and don't think he is my son. He tends to look a bit older then me.
I was 14 and raising a son without a father. Ya that tends to happen a lot doesn't it. I had a very strong mother who said THIS IS YOUR BABY. I grew up very fast. I didn't hand him over to mom. He was MY SON. SO off to Delano High School and he went with me:) I had a twin and that I have to say gave me a bit of a push to graduate on time WITH her. Some girls use that excuse of having a baby to drop out. That wasn't an option for me. Some just don't have a strong support system. There was no way this girl was going to drop out. Not from the kind of STRONG mother I had:) SO it seems my whole life I had that son with me. I then had another one at 19 but that ones still young and I am not letting go any time soon:)
Having two boys is a heartache at times. BUT WORTH IT. There is nothing like a mothers love. I used to read that book to them,Love you Forever. Its still one of my favorites.
My Older son is now Private Anthony Sierra airborne ammunition specialist ,special ops and I couldnt be prouder.Right now that son is in Fort Lewis Washington till he gets sent wherever he is sent. I am supportive of him, always was and always will be.
I cried and my heart hurt when I let go for him to become the stronger person he is today. But letting go a bit doesn't mean that bond between mother and son is more weak. In fact it's much stronger:)
