Come and support the Bakersfield Homeless Center on your lunch break Wednesday, Oct. 21, and have some do-good-while-you-eat-good fun!
Join us and event sponsors KGET-TV Ch. 17 and Halliburton for a tasty burger, chips and drink for only $5.
KGET is hosting a fundraising drive and BBQ in the parking lot at their station, 2120 L Street, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to benefit our shelter.
The Bakersfield Homeless Center has lost crucial state and local funding in the current difficult economy, so the community's support is especially meaningful at this time.
BHC is a non-profit organization that has been serving the homeless in our community for over 35 years. Last year, we provided safety-net food, shelter, and other crisis intervention services to over 8,000 women, children and men in our community.
