James Morrison is an awarded singer and songwriter from Warwickshire. His very first single “You Give Me Something” became a hit in different countries. Its video has both a UK and US version. The succeeding tracks from his Undiscovered album were noted to be “all good” and thus, the album name opposes its status in the worldwide charts.

Morrison's lyrics is more on frustrated romance and loneliness. His songs do not give essay like narrations and stories. His music is more focused on poetry. “You Give Me Something” talks more about a fading relationship. His second single “Wonderful World” rejects the notion of the song title per se.

Morrison's husky voice serves as one of his major signatures. He also plays the guitar, and performs acoustic versions of his songs during gigs.

His present album, Songs for You, Truths for Me was released in September 2008. Like Undiscovered, critics say this album contains only good songs.

Here is a list of Morrison's singles:

  1. You Give Me Something - 2006

  2. Wonderful World - 2006

  3. The Pieces Don't Fit Anymore - 2006

  4. Undiscovered - 2007

  5. One Last Chance - 2007

  6. You Make It Real - 2008

  7. Nothing Ever Hurt Like You - 2008

  8. Broken Strings - 2008
