I have been writing stories ever since I can remember. I loved listening to my familia tell spooky stories from when they were back in El Salvador. La Ziguanaba, El Cipitillo, La Carreta Bruja, Los Cadejos. Not many people here in America know about them unless they are Salvadoreans. I plan to change that. I want to bring all those old legends back to life, add a few modern day twists, some action, some romance, some adventure, and I want to start comparing other cultures' legends with my own.
Who is the girl in the picture?? That's Maggie, the heroine of The Isle of Cipit. She's an anthropology student on a trip to El Salvador to collect legends and folktales for an anthology book. Reena Chagoya is the model we used for this character.
