Bakersfield Women's Business Conference keynote speaker and CNN reporter Soledad O'Brien wants women to know success — both personal & professional — is just a balancing act away.
On April 19, the Escuelas Unidas group of Bakersfield will perform with various local folklorico groups, including SoLuna, Huaztecalli and Sin Fronteras as well as Rincones de Mi Tierra of Sacramento during their 21st annual Mexican Folk Dance Presentation, Festival Juvenil Primaveral (Youth Spring Festival) at East Bakersfield High School. Ballet Folklorico Mixteco East Los Angeles, directed by Julio Cesar Flores, will be the guest performing group.
On April 4, Horace Mann Pre-K students planted corn, zucchini, watermelon, tomatoes and strawberries at their school in honor of UFW labor leader Cesar Chavez.| Send to a Friend | Report a Violation |
