Emmy-nominated Bakersfield Telemundo anchor/reporter Karla Leal was sworn in as a new U.S. Citizen May 16 at the Bakersfield Adult School, during the campus’ annual Multi-Cultural Day festival.

Combining KICKS & PUNCHES with TUTORING & STUDYING

For some students, just getting homework done in the evening is akin to combat. It requires many of the same skills as Korean martial arts — self-defense, discipline and respect. Which is why it’s appropriate that a new business in east Bakersfield, T.R. Tae Kwon Do is offering a different twist — tutoring in addition to training.
