You've heard it on The New 99.3 radio station.  Everyone is talking about it and I can't wait for next Sunday, June 1st.  What are we talking about?  Just in case you your radio wasn't working, this is the news..........Las Noticias..........

The Kern County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is presenting the LATINO FOOD FEST & MENUDO COOK-OFF on Sunday, June 1, 2008.  The Menudo pots will be boiling, la salsa, chili,  and family secrets will be poured into the Menudo and a winner will be selected by specially selected group of judges who will proclaim the best tasting Menudo of the event.

As the cooks are preparing thier best Menudo, spectators will be entertained by El Mariachi Tapatia and a local folklorico group.  A local DJ will be playing the most popular music for your listenting and dancing pleasure.  The Prisoners of Love will cause love to blossom in the dance floor so bring your dancing shoes.

Before you get a chance to take off those dancing shoes, you will be entertained by the featured Recording Artists........non other than, EL CHICANO.  That's right!!  You can't miss this event.

There will be over 10 food booths with a variety of your favorite foods that will make your taste buds also start dancing and throwing "chancla".

There will also be various vendor booths, drinks for all and the Margaritas will be chiling.  The kids can run around freely in the Kid's area while their padres run around in the dance floor.

Okay...so now that you know, you got to get your ticket now.  Save a buck and get them in advance from participating KCHCC outlets.  Call the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce office at 661-633-5495 or listen to The New 99.3 for outlet locations.....one of them being GOTTA GO BAIL BONDS, 304 Chester Avenue, Ph:  326-8500.

If you want to enter the gates free, call the chamber office at 633-5495 and become a volunteer.  The list is filling up so call now and get your name on the list.

Finally, remember to leave your ice chests and refreshments at home.  If you bring them, they'll have to wait for you outside the gates.  Be delighted that we'll have plenty of refreshments and food available for you at the Event.
