Performing on June 1 at the Latin Food Festival and Menudo Cook-Off will be El Chicano, a group of friends that came to be international Latin rock musicians.
Myrtle Avenue School’s Jo Ann Rivera works with the GATE (Gifted and Talented Education) program, History Day, Oral Language Festival, Science Fair and Battle of the Books earning her a 2007-08 Kern County Teacher of the Year nomination.
