WIN TICKETS TO ATTEND PRIVATE PREMIERE SCREENING OF

BOBBY
MONDAY, NOVEMBER 20TH, 6PM!
at the Fox Theater in Bakersfield!

“Bobby”  was written and produced by actor Emilio Estevez.

The movie "Bobby" highlights the many individual lifestories of the people who were there at  the Ambassador Hotel celebrating Kennedy’s California primary election win. It also brings into focus the collective thinking of the time and foreshadows the turmoil that our country faced. Bobby,  also poignantly speaks about the hopes and dreams that were crushed on that tragic night.

****Estevez will also be in attendance to host a post-viewing  question and answer program at the theater.

I will love to see Private Screening of Bobby because of the historical changes that happened after his death. It changed the course of history..also, because the late 60's fashion was awesome.
Many of today's politicians are not as genuine and sincere as the Kennedy's. Most of today's politicians are self-serving and are preoccupied with their legacy. It would be interesting to see what type of an impact Robert Kennedy would of had on this country today had he been given an opportunity. I would definately like to attend the premiere screening of this movie to hear Emilio Estevez'insights about the Kennedy family.
From the many previews that I've seen, I believe Mr. Emilio Estevez has created a timepiece. This movie will be one of this century's films to remember! Documenting our countries history and the prominent public figures, leaders, and heros. The idiology's our past still live on today. With this film, maybe we can forge a new movement of unity and equality, rather than one of division and miscommunication. Sincerely, Wendy J. Riley-Gutierrez
hope I get to go to the special screening. I remember this era with much fondness. I remember when I had to pray with my grandmother, we knelt and prayed to the Virgen de Guadalupe but right next the Virgen was a bust of JFK and a picture of Bobby. Of course, they all had flowers next to them. My mom will tell you that one of her best memories is when Bobby and Cesar Chavez marched together - there she was marching proudly with them, my baby brother in tow. My memories (of that time) are of hope, of equality, of family, of respect, of decency, a time when politicians were looked up to and admired. My grandparents and parents barely spoke English but they knew that someone in power understood them. - Where have those days gone? Sandra Juarez
This is an unprecedented film for a Latino like Estevez to write, direct and act in. Normally, we think of people like Oliver Stone to make such big character-driven stories of American politics. And here, Estevez has such an interesting cast ensemble too. I would be curious as to who are the historians involved as the advisors to Estevez. What historical works did he gravitate to, and which real life people still alive from the event were most inspiring during the making of the film? Did they bring such ghosts of American politics back to life... or was it the cast themselves in their recreation of the past? -n.l.
Bobby Kennedy was a great man and would have been a great president, like his brother, John F. Kennedy. I attended Delano High School between 1965 and 1969. My parents were heavily involved with the UFW and Cesar Chavez. My father, brother and I joined Cesar when he marched from Delano to Sacramento. We marched the last miles from Lodi, CA to the Capitol. I will never forget John Kennedy's death and Bobby's death had a similar impact on me. I never met John but got very close to Bobby when he attended a meeting which was held at the Delano High School Auditorium. I remember seeing him on stage with other UFW representatives and knew he was for the people and for the cause and struggles of my parents and many others. It was very sad to hear about and see his death being shown on TV, especially after being so close to him. I felt I touched him but the fact is that he touched me and a lot of people and he continues to touch us. I haven't bought my tickets yet but I do plan to see the screening of a great man. Thanks Emilio for making it possible.
I have always been fascinated by the Kennedy family. The story of Bobby Kennedy I unfortunately do not know about so this would be a great opportunity to learn a little history. Emilio Estevez comes from a fine hispanic family and it would also be an honor to be in his presence.

I wish to see his political background and also the private persona.

I Also wish to see about how his death affected the political environment of that time.
