Thanksgiving Memories

My memories of Thanksgiving Day have always been about family, the big meal, and  grand kids everywhere. 

As long as I can remember my Mama  and Daddy always loved  this special day.  I can see them both now  enjoying  themselves. 

Daddy would sit with the men watching television, maybe football or "The Twilight Zone Marathon".   

Mama would  chit-chat away like she hadn't seen us in days, talking about the Thanksgiving Day Parade that morning  or  how great the  turkey and pumpkin pie were.  

Through the years marriages, and precious new grandchildren made it impossible for everyone to always celebrate together.   I'll always be grateful for all those beautiful Thanksgiving memories I lived  and enjoyed with  my family. 

My beautiful   Mama passed  away eight years ago, and  my beloved Daddy passed away five years ago on Thanksgiving Day, making every Thanksgiving Day more meaningful to me.  Happy Thanksgiving Day Raymond and Felipa Martinez.
