A salad with a point! This tangy mix is made from the tender, cooked and marinated paddles of the Nopal cactus. Tossed with onions, citrus juice and cilantro, this Mexican favorite is a unique side dish.
Ingredients
1/2 jar of Goya® nopalitos
1/2 onion finely diced
2 diced tomatoes
1/4 bunch of cilantro/parsley
4 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons red vinegar
1 avocado
2 serrano peppers
1 tablespoon Goya® Salsita Habanera
1/4 pound white cheese
white pepper, to taste
salt, to taste
Directions
1. Place the Nopalitos in a large dish. Season with salt, white pepper and adobo seasoning.
2. Add onion, mixing often, cilantro and parsley, tomatoes, serrano peppers, vinegar, lemon, and Salsita Habanera Goya®.
3. Mix well and serve on a plate and place avocado and tomato wedges around it, top with white cheese and plenty of diced parsley.
