Age:  41
Job title: CADD manager, Klassen Corporation
Family:  Wife — Heidi; daughter — Ashleigh; son — Caleb

Q: What motivates you in life?
A: My family and the love I have for them. Always thriving to do the best I can to set an example for my kids. I thank God for the blessings He has given us.

Q: How has being involved in the Arvin Alumni Band made a difference in your life?
A: The difference is the fun and joy of music that I once again get to share with a lot of old friends who have a love for music just the same as I do. It’s a great feeling. At the same time,  being able to be role models and help current students pursue what they want to be as a band. All the while, helping individual students with private or group lessons, and even offering scholarships — that’s a great feeling.

Q: What does your culture mean to you?
A:
Being proud of who I am, and of the accomplishments Latinos have made past, present and future. My culture is also family oriented; family means so much to us. I feel without the family core, our culture might not have existed all of these years.

Q: Name a lasting moment that changed the course of your life.
A: The moments my children were born. It really put life into perspective for me. To be a parent is one of the greatest responsibilities a person can ever experience — no matter what race, color or religion.

Q:
Where do you want to be 10 years from now?
A: I would like to stay active, either in my current job, or running the business my wife and I just started. Right now, it’s a weekend business, but you never know.
