Every year Canyon Hills Women’s Ministry raises money for Project Hope 2009, and this year is no different. On May 2, 2009 we are pulling out all the stops and hosting our 3rd Annual “Pull for Hope”, an event that promises to be like no other Bakersfield has seen.

Pull for Hope will be held at FiveDogsRange, where participants will shoot a ten-station SportingClayTrail that simulates bird hunting in the picturesque natural foothill terrain near Bakersfield. There will be a barbeque at the conclusion of the shooting, where the winners will be awarded prizes and a raffle held for door prizes.
 
What is Project Hope 2009?
Water IS Life…..and that is what Project Hope for 2009 is all about.
Something we take for granite, something so basic and something so vital is the very thing that is lacking for a community of 10,000 in El Salvador.
This year we join in partnership with the Project Milagro Team and Pastor Desoto as they work to complete:
  • 40 Miles of Piping
  • 3 Pumping Stations
  • 2 Well Pumps
  • An Electrical System
  • Water Purification System
Think of the impact to an entire community as clean, accessible water is provided. Imagine the life-change to men, women and children who will have healthier families because of our prayers and finances to answer their great need. Then realize the opportunities that lie ahead to bring the message of the Living Water and the Good News to this community. They WILL ask, “who has done this for us?”, and then someone will be able to share the love of Jesus.

Water, it really is close enough to taste!
