It's been forever since I've gotten to blog. So much has happened! I'm still not living where i want to live, but my casita is pretty darn cute. It's off the street and seculded and big enough for me and the kiddos. My guy finally realized he can't live without me, and he's stopped acting like he doesn't care about anything. He's asked me to marry him, but I'll wait on that. The most important thing right now is editing my new book! I can't believe how long I've procrastinated.
The new book is called IN A DRINK. It's going to be about La Ziguanaba - she's loose in San Francisco.
My main goal is to bring back the old legends, with modern day twists. I started with the Salvadoran legends -- El Cipitillo and now La Ziguanaba. Since there are so many cultures with similar creatures, I've been blending legends, and will be doing more of that in future books. El Cipitillo has similar cousins in Africa, South America, Europe, Asia, everywhere. There are 'small people' legends in almost every culture. La Ziguanaba is a malevolent female spirit legend, which every culture has. I've made her a lot worse in my book, for a scarier effect.
Okay, gotta go to my day job.
