JerSooz says .... the Lowrider Nationals held as the Lowrider Event to attend in Bakersfield Aug 3rd is also known Worldwide in it's 11th Year was to us representing our own local  ChicaLowrider.com website a huge Lowrider Car Lowrider Motorcycle Lowrider Truck and even what some would say the great starting point where the present story most read is how a 10 year old is one of the foremost authorities on Lowrider Bikes was in our view a Great Success

Let's say with this Years 1 reported incident being reported on the News and through RSS feeds such as is on our own website an unfair way to judge this event ... being we ourselves did not witness this event and were unaware it happened till heard it on the News and read about it on the Internet ... this one single incident is by no means to Cancel or even Contemplate ending this Lowrider Show

We can say when 1st got to the Lowrider Nationals at the Kern County Fairgrounds arriving at 11:20 running late as usual the parking lot didn't truly show the Crowd that would soon be forming to enter the Fair Grounds we mean 2 Long Lines in 2 directions ... Let's say it is truly a humbling experience to see all the Loyal Lowrider Fans also was time to truly with the enthusiasm around us to get pumped up for the event also to gladly go through the Security Checks that about every event attend have to go through Security was courteous and things progressed quickly for how many people there truly were in line  

Entering the Grounds we were as all Events at the Fair Grounds Kern County was ready as were all the Display's of Lowrider Cars Lowrider Trucks and Lowrider Motorcycles just at the Entrance a way to Get the Excitement rolling ... We were really impressed as later found when returning to the 2 Exposition Halls we absently minded forgot were all the Super Primo Displays of the most Awesome Lowriders could imagine ... Just for those not familar with the Fair Grounds the 2 Halls are really the Places where usually all the Great Things are Displayed plus usually a great place to escape the Heat in Summer

Needless to say the Lowrider event going down the Lane to the right as we progressed towards the Rodeo Stadium in hopes of getting great seats for the Lowrider Jumping Contest we found to be truly well laid out to different levels of Vendors and information as well as the line up of what was to be a Great Event of all kinds of Lowriders imaginable we were truly impressed as turning to the left towards the Stadium the Row of Lowrider Bikes then in the Grassy Areas both Left and right the Lowrider Clubs showing their Lowrider Affiliations towards  the choosen vehicle whether Classic Traditional Customized or even now the SUV  even the Compact Car Class up to the Lowrider Jumping Style with both Single Pump and Double Pump Hydraulics it was evident all Lowrider vehicles were present and glowing with Pride of not only extensive time and effort also money being invested into them

All we can say is from Our General view we felt we were like at a  Family Gathering of Lowrider Enthuisiasts as was also all Nationalities represented we didn't see anything that did not make us feel we were as others not enjoying a Fun and Relaxing Day

Then came the Lowrider Jumping Event and all we can say with the Announcer sounding like Cheech of Cheech and Chong shouting Ok Get Your Lowrider up to the Pad to Compete and Jump it till Breaks Jump it till its Tires Pop and other Fun Announcements and the Crowd Cheering let's say this event alone is worth the Price of Admission

 We might also add the Safety procedures will amaze you as is watching the Lowrider Car Crews as well as the People on the Pad with the How High Measuring Stand as well as the Crews insuring everybody has a equal chance to compete if anything in the Lowrider Nationals event this is also the Marvel of Engineering ... the truely fun part is watching the Lowrider Dancing Cars

Lets say after the Lowrider Jumping Contest we then were able to View the Rest of Event plus the other Lowriders we hadn't seen yet as well as take in the Entertainment ... this truely was an all day in the time allotted 11am to 5 PM a show if did as we did respected the true meaning ... take time to enjoy the relaxing event and take it also as the Lowrider Cruising style take it Low and Slow ... Plus take time to enjoy the Beauty only one of these events can show you ...All we can say enjoy the People around you also and their reactions it can truly be a Fun Filled Day

Now as Far as the Incident reported We as said only Viewed People enjoying the Event  we actually left by 4:45 in hopes of getting a jump on the People exiting 

We feel as far as we have seen the Video that was shot was taken by a Person attending the Event with their Personal Cam Corder ... Our Own Bakersfield Media has covered it with an UnCensored and what we deem Unbiased  Coverage ... In fact the Media as our own opinion feel as others this is not an incident that warrants the Cancellation of this Event ... in fact we have been told this happened at around 6 PM during the Awards Ceremony

Not to sound Naive or Making Excuses ... this event this type incident  is being found common in our present day society ... no matter what type event might attend ...This incident  is one where people now are more proned to act impulsively without using common sense to their surroundings even with Women Children Teens and Young Adults present they act irresponsibly

We can also assure you Security was acting in a manner where Peoples Safety was their main concern as was their fast reaction to quail what turned into a confrontation that had an unwarranted response to what others will deem  possibly a simple misunderstanding while others will view as disrespect

It is reported a Underage Girl was dressed inappropriately ...we might add to our point of view the only what some deem inappropriate attire that we saw was Short Skirts as well as what some call Extreme Hot Pants to this we will report was usually as Promotion for an Advertiser as well as Lady Contest Contestants of which All Ladies we viewed were acting in a Professional Manner ... we might add also this event by all rights is considered a Private Event whereby is a more relaxed rule as to what is worn or advertised these Events also have Skimpily Clad Contests which are considered also a Norm as to Show off a Ladies Looks to Compete in Contests for a Money Prize

Security and Law Enforcement are those responsible to what can be Ruled Inappropriate as to Rules of Dress in a Public Places ourselves did not see a violation ... and would report what viewed was Tame as far as what others would feel inappropriate standards as compared to other events have attended and was we feel all in Good Taste )

To some what we have mentioned may scare you away from these events ... to this we say the event we viewed was a Positive Event for the Lowrider Community and we can also say we felt those who were Represented as Lowrider Owners Lowrider Fans or even Lowrider Lovers this incident should not stop you from attending we as others felt the Security was more then adequate

We also following the News Reports would advise those involved attend an Anger Management Class and to also those involved Show Restraint in Future Public locations ... to those Attacked our advice is Learn to Assess a Situation more Importantly back away or not respond when your life can as proven to be in danger by a mere harrassing statement

To others also Not in the Dispute as was the Family Friend or Family Member attacked Learned Allow the Proper Security or Law Enforcement to address the situation do not intervene or interject your own personal feelings as hard as that may seem to be to obtain 

Also as far as Dis-Respect  it is not Appropriate in our own White Tradition Hispanic Tradition or any Nationalities Tradition that we know of to Dis-Respect a Woman or Girl or in Fact Anyone at a Public Function

So Check Yourself more importantly Do Not Address the Person or Persons doing this you are only Adding Fuel to an already Volatile Situation perpetrated by a Person with what is usually known as assaultive or abusive personality ... most times only looking for a fight as we said it is not appropriate in a Public Event ... to air indifferences this should be your 1st Warning ... Beware

Our Main advice in a Public Place though also be prepared to either Talk Civilly ... Learn to either Walk or Run Away or in the worse case scenario Defend Yourself  if being Attacked ... Remember it is better to Walk Run or even be Called a Coward then being Beat Up or Dying Trying  to be a Hero over something that truly if merely let it slide past you amounts to truly nothing

To Represent means to Show Respect and more Importantly to Act in a Positive Manner at All Times Respect if Done Properly is Earned by when Knowing how to Back Down and Not Do what can be deemed Stupid or Criminal Acts so as to Protect Your Own Safety as Well as Others around You

The Only advice We would recommend as far as the Lowrider Nationals for 2009 would be as we witnessed was that  the  Promoters of this event maybe as witnessed by 2 of the Back to Back Rap Groups witnessing after the Lowrider Jump Contest maybe Promote the Performers to Police their Attitudes

These 2 were Blatantly not with what the Event was about even to a point Dazed and Confused as to the Time of Day even ... They were evidently Promoting their Own Agenda ... Our Advise as was as witnessing the surrounding faces around us we might add different Races and Nationalities as was our own Mixed Cultures in Our Own Family Structure that Incited a Look of Disgust to their Words and Lyrics as well as a Don't Tell Me they Said that as if to Incite a Riot ... May we take into Account even the Lousiest of Performer can Put out a Negative Message

This We also say with an Open Minded acceptance to Rap and Others involved in this Genre ... Our Advice is just because Maybe a Top Recording Artist or Local Favorite does not make them the Clear selection for the Event they are Performing at ... we might as as others also may feel this may have led up to the incident that may have happened later you are never sure when the message thrown out first is  "We Don't Care What You Think! " the 2nd being "We Know You Don't Want Us Here  We're Not Going to Leave " both Groups as said in Total Disregard to Even the Crowd in Front of Them or even The Lowrider Event Performing for ...

This was not the Place nor the Event to make these Statements no matter how important the message they thought  were sending Performers should learn to Check Themselves at the Door then procede to give the Best Performance they are Paid for ...

This event is also Deemed a Family Event Not a Lets Promote Hate Event ... Something that should as in All Events be a Promoters Responsibility as is also a Performers Liability if steps over the Boundries Shock Factor is Predominate in Rap and Yes accepted  though Maybe the Artist should be brought aware to only to some extent are they accepted... These Truly were One on One Conversations to the Crowd as to their Belief's ... Raw and Uncensored as said they Should Check Themselves

We found also that it is ok even to have a 4 Letter Word descriptive in the Lyrics as the Group before LA LA and Her Ladies of which we Found LA LA and them as we felt Promoting a Positive Note "We are All here to Enjoy this Event Let's cast off Our Indifferences " Let's Enjoy ... Yeah the Rappers before LA LA were in Your Face Raw and not seeing them thought wow what a Message  ... Then LA LA came on and it was a Great Pickup from the earlier 2 Messages of Negativity

All We can say as said the differences in the 2 Messages can make or Break the Lowrider Nationals Event maybe the Promoters and Sponsors should check into this more before 2009 and get a Venue of Performers that fit LowriderNationals 2009

Needless to say We truly did like this Years Event and We took over a Week to Respond due to having 345 Pictures we have installed on Our Chicalowrider.com website we also used a New Free on Internet Software to Create a Slideshow  lets just say resizing the Pictures may have taken away some from the Professionalism though if willing to wait for all the Pictures to Load we hope you will love this Lowrider Dream we saw and captured on this Slide show
