Mean People Suck!

Last year around this same time my family and I headed out to watch my daughter perform for the school choir's Christmas performance. They did great as always.

BUT while I was attempting to watch the performance there were about five to six kids sitting behind me, being unusually loud. I turned around a few times and told them to please be quiet.

They responded by giggling and whispering what I can only imagine were very kind words about me and the fact that I'd asked them to keep it down. I'm sure that's what it was right?

Of course they continued to be loud and I turned around and gave them THE LOOK a few more times. They giggled some more.

As I felt my blood pressure rising and feeling the ghetto come out of me and feeling like I was one second away from beating their little disrespectful butts with a belt, I decided to  take a deep breath, ignore them as best as I could and watch the rest of the show.

Then the man next to me started asking them to please be quiet. They responded by being even louder. They didn't even bother pretending like they were trying to be quiet.

After all the many attempts between him and I to get them to shut the hell up (OOPS I MEAN.. to keep their tone down) and after I gave up a little bit later so did he.

Until the end of the performance.

That's when he turned around and scolded them the old fashioned way. The way kids SHOULD be scolded by their elders if they are acting up. Well, at least that's the way I was raised. Apparently that just isn't the case anymore.

In this case  their mother who apparently is deaf because she did not hear her kids the whole time was PISSED that he DARE lecture her perfect little angels. She started telling him off in the most AWFUL way. It was horrible.

And I just walked away from it. I was appalled. But did nothing. I simply glared at her as I was walking away.

I think about that day all the time and wonder why I didn't say anything. I don't have an answer. I didn't think I could diffuse the situation. I think she was just being mean because she was ignorant. And frankly, I thought the man and his wife were doing a good job handling it.

But still, I WALKED AWAY.

Well, THIS GUY DIDN'T. And I'm glad. And next time I won't either!

Maybe this is the reason I don't have children. God probably knows I'd beat my kids for being so disrespecful! Augh! I'm kidding. I wouldn't beat them... hard. heh.

This is one of the reasons I hate going to the movies when teenagers are present. I know not all kids are like that but it seems like the loud, obnoxious ones always in the seat right behind me. Gah!

DUDE! If my kids acted like that, and a someone was calling them out on it, I would totally back the person up. That's just me though. It takes a village to raise a child. yah know?

And honestly, I really did feel like getting all ghetto on those kids. THEN on their mom, who did NOT appreciate the "help." Instead of apologizing to that man and feeling embarrassed that her kids were THAT disrespectful, she chose to degrade the man. She should be ashamed, as should the lady at the toy store that Mike Hart experienced.

Can you imagine if those were YOUR kids acting like that???  I'm sure you can't and neither can I,  I'm glad I wasn't there with you, because it would have been ugly, of course, there's NOTHING you can do,  and at that point the only thing you can do is get physical with them...and then go to jail for it.  Seriously, some kids these days are sooooooo disrespectful and as you saw, most of learning how to be that way comes from the parents.  I'm sorry that bitch and her disrespectful kids ruined your evening, I really am.
