Princess Zoey
Once upon a time there lived this Princess Zoey. She belonged to a family that didn't have room for her. They already owned a bigger dog and this dog was just NOT having another pet in the house. This dog would bark and bark at Zoey and make her do all the house chores and sweep up the fire cinders and do all the laundry and wash dishes and... oh wait, wrong fairy tale.
But the part about the other dog is true. She then was adopted into a home full of love and happiness. The kids played with her from sun up to sundown. Zoey loved everyone and took turns sleeping with her family.
Sometimes she'd sleep with mom and dad in their big California King Sized bed. Sometimes she slept with her brother whether it be on the top bunk, the bottom bunk, or even just napping on the couch after a full day of football.
Zoey went everywhere with her family even the hospital to welcome a new cousin into the family. She played outside with her brothers and so all the neighborhood kids called Zoey their friend.
One horrible day Zoey went outside to make her rounds as always. But this day she would not make it back alive. Zoey was hit by a van Friday January 11th. It was a sad day at the Twinkie household.
We all cried and cried because we lost a wonderful companion, friend, sister, daughter. Zoey was not just a pet, she was family.
We will miss you Zoey!

thanks Amber. The kids are still bummed and talk about her with nothing but good memories. We are sorta getting used to Lola but poor girl. She has big shoes to fill. Though she's a cute and has a great personality so I'm sure she'll do just fine.
I'm so sorry about Zoey. :( Your poor boys.
Lola is so cute. Aww... I want a doggy. I wish I had a house. Once I do, I'll get myself a pet.
Twinkiw- I am soooo sorry to hear about Zoey. Losing animals is losing a part of your family. Big hugs to you and your clan. And I am glad that you got Lola. It isn't replacing Zoey at all, it's sharing the love you have with another animal, who deserves to be as loved as much as you guys loved Zoey. -ofvlwAmber
awww. We almost got a chihuahua/daschund mix but they were all gone!
OMG SHE IS A CUTIE:) I got a new dog too,,three dogs now,,,two little dogs and a German Shepard. The new one is a daschund:) I havent even named her:)

We got a new puppy this past weekend. She's a Boston Terrier. This isn't the best picture because my camera phones sucks, but here it is anyways.... Isn't she precious? She's my little angel! Her name is Lola! Nana thinks she looks like George Lopez. Bug eyes and a big head. ha. I guess I can see that.
We kinda felt like we weren't being loyal to Zoey by "replacing" her. At the same time, the boys really loved having a companion around so we decided to get a new puppy. We even tried looking for a chihuahua mix just like Zoey then decided if we couldn't find one just like her we didn't want a chihuahua at all.
