Much Ado About Nothing

Well, after all the talk about calling YOU to service and the lecturing about how we need to come together as one, blah blah blah.. guess what I did Monday?

I sat on my nice comfy couch, with a nice comfy blanket, and watched all the Martin Luther King’s coverage on the news.

Yes people! After partying it up on Friday, Saturday AND Sunday I took Monday off and slept.

Aren’t you proud of me? (NOT)

Another thing you might be proud of (NOT) is for some reason Saturday morning I felt the need to get all up on another bloggers face for something he wrote that bugged the hell out of me.

Do you ever get that way? You read something and for some reason it hits a cord and so you take it personal then you read into it some more and find more stuff to get worked up about and before you know it you just blew it way out of proportion in your head?

Oh, I’ve done it before.. but usually by the time I “edit” it it’s withered down to nothing and most of the time I just delete it.

See the way I figure it is that we can ALL read the same exact sentence but it would mean something entirely different to each and every one of us.

Most of the time it's all a matter of perception and in the end the way you read something isn't the way it was meant to begin with.

Which is always why I think it's a good idea to always re-read what you typed before you hit send.

Also, if it’s going to be something negative sometimes it’s an even BETTER idea to sit on it for a while. Then an hour or two later (or maybe even a day) go back and read the post and read your comment.

If you still feel the need to hit “send” and you don’t feel you can word your opinion a little differently and a little less abrasive then by all means, hit send.

After all, we all do whatever our conscience allows us to do, right? Your conscience might allow you to be a biznatch and feel ok about it.

Mine doesn't.
