After a rural childhood, B.A.. in German languages, and Army as Russian voice interceptor, I led a restless and travel stained life filled with reading, folk music and blues. Dropped out in '60s, experimented with mind altering drugs, learned Spanish, Ilokano from my wife. Lived in Mexico a year in Punta Banda, B.C. on the road to the bufadora, didn't like the poliically conservative gringos much down there. Have had a few poems published up and down the central valley. Have just finished my memoir: "Lost in America" (Memoirs of a Maverick).
