I'm the proud editor of the new Southwest Voice newspaper and online community. For the past two years I've served as editor of The Northwest, and have made many friends in the community along the way.
A Bakersfield native, I went to Our Lady of Perpetual Help and Garces High School. I attended the University of Southern California (Go Trojans!) and graduated in 2002.
I love living in Bakersfield. I spend most of my time with my husband, J.P., my mom Lynn, our two kittens, Aiden and Maitai, and my two best friends, Katie and Natalie.
My favorite restaurants are Woolgrower's and Uricchio's. During work hours, you can often see me grabbing a coffee at Dagny's. I also love attending events at the Crystal Palace and Fox Theater.
My favorite movies are "The Princess Bride," "Sunset Boulevard" and "Pulp Fiction." My favorite books are "To the Lighthouse," "The Awakening" and "A Confederacy of Dunces." I'm also a huge fan of  "Project Runway" and "Grey's Anatomy."
