About lpena

Hola, I'm Luz Peña, a writer for “Más Magazine.” I was born and raised in Bakersfield. I'm the youngest out of five children. You've guessed it! I'm the baby. I attended Noble Elementary School, Washington Middle School and Highland High School, so we might have been classmates..hehe! I graduated from California State University, Bakersfield in 2002 with a degree in communications. I freelanced for “The Bakersfield Californian” and the now defunct “El Californiano” before I moved to Fresno. In 2004, I moved to Fresno to worked at “Vida en el Valle,” the bilingual weekly of “The Fresno Bee” until I was hired by Mercado Nuevo to work for Más. I've been at Más since mid-December and I'm enjoying myself. If you have story idea for me,  please send it my way. I’ll be seeing you around! (~o~)
